CSP is pleased to announce two recent transactions that illustrate continued high levels of M&A activity in two of the markets we serve: commercial aviation and government technical services.
CSP provided business diligence advisory support to The Carlyle Group in its acquisition of Landmark Aviation. Landmark operates one of the largest business aviation FBO networks in the world, with 51 locations throughout the United States, Canada and France, and also provides a range of aircraft maintenance, charter and management services. CSP first advised Carlyle in the 1998 purchase of Landmark’s predecessor company, Piedmont Hawthorne, and supported Carlyle through a number of subsequent related transactions. CSP has been engaged in nearly a dozen transactions in 2012 involving providers of hardware and services to the business aviation sector.
CSP provided advisory services to ARINC in preparation for the subsequent sale of its Defense Systems Engineering and Support business to Booz Allen and Hamilton. DSES adds important capabilities to Booz Allen in advanced aviation and maritime engineering, advanced weapons modernization and sustainment, and advanced systems engineering and integration. CSP previously advised The Carlyle Group in its acquisitions of ARINC and Booz Allen.
